What are your future goals? Where do you see your research going?:
My primary future research goal is the identification of gene expression signatures in glioblastoma multiforme that allow for specific and efficient molecular therapeutic targeting. A project of this scope rests with scientific networking and collaboration.

Technologies seem to changing faster than ever, how do you adapt to that? What are the current technologies you are using?:
Adapting to and keeping up-to-date with changing technologies is a rewarding challenge. However, while constant assessment of new methods for their potential contribution to the project at hand is important, the success of a project depends more on the validity of the scientific question asked than on the methodologies applied.

In the broader picture, where do you see the application for your cutting-edge research?:
My research may hopefully contribute to the development of more specific and efficient drugs to treat glioblastoma multiforme, the most common malignant brain tumor in adults.

Fast forward to 2020. What’s your vision of Genomics in 2020?:
Genomics will have enabled us to understand the molecular mechanisms that underly human diseases currently regarded as incurable. Based on this understanding, molecularly targeted the rapeutics with high efficiency and little side-effects are developed at fast pace.
